GNE v Flixton

Flixton are our visitors on Wednesday night.

Flixton have taken 10 points from 5 games and sit in 5th place in the league table one place higher than GNE.Glossop who are level on points with Flixton will be looking to gain a victory which would see us go above our vivitors.Having not seen the game on Saturday i can't comment but would like to point out a positive that has been mentioned on our message board and that is another clean sheet gained at the weekend which is for me a good thing, we just need to score some goals to turn the draws into victories. Hopefully this will happen on Wednesday.

GNE v Padiham

After the disappointment of going out of the F.A Cup to BostonTown GNE are now preparing for the visit of Padiham F.C to Surrey Street on Saturday 27th.

Having spoken to Paul after the F.A. Cup game it was obvious the team and coaching staff were hurt with the nature of the defeat and Glossop will be looking to put in a good performance against Padiham and to bring back the winning feeling.

I say we must get behind our team who have made the best start to a season in a long while and give them the encouragement to go and express themselves on the field.

Remember we are all in this together and we all have a part to play in the clubs success on and off the field.

Come on GNE

F.A.Cup GNE v Boston Town

Boston Town are the visitors to Surrey Street in the extra preliminary round of the famous F.A.Cup.

Glossop will hopefully be confident after a great result in the week with the win against Winsford but they will not be taking anything for granted.

Boston on the other hand are smarting after a defeat on Tuesday night and so will be coming here in determined mood.

As is the norm everyone connected with Glossop North End I.E directors, playing stafff ,volunteers and supporters will welcome Boston Town and show them the respect they fully deserve and knowing our supporters Boston can expect to get a round of applause from all corners of our ground from our very sporting fans if they win, lose or draw.

Hope plenty of people are drawn to our game by the magic of the F.A.Cup.

As Simon said this morning LETS GET IT ON.

Good luck to Paul and his staff and all the players.

GNE v Winsford United

Wednesday see's Winsford United coming to Surrey Street, Winsford have started very well with 3 wins from 3 games.

GNE will be looking to go level on points with our visitors with a victory but will know they will have to be at their best.

GNE have made a decent start with wins against Squires Gate and A.F.C Liverpool and losing out at Ramsbottom which is a hard place to go and get anything.

GNE will be looking to take some confidence into Saturday's F.A Cup game against Boston at Surrey Street.

A.F.C Liverpool

Today GNE will travel to A.F.C Liverpool for what will be a difficul game against a club on the rise.
The second away game of our campaign after defeat at Ramsbottom GNE will be looking to get back to winning ways no doubt cheered on by our regular travelling suppport.
Good luck to the team and hope the supporters have a good day out.
After this GNE have a number of home games one of which is in the famous F.A.Cup so we hope to see as many people coming to enjoy the games and hopefully see GNE do well in all the matches.
Again there will be members of the supporters club on hand at the games for anyone interested in joining up and getting involved or for people who wish to sign up someone they think would like to be a part of this excellent organisation which aims to benefit the many supporters of GNE aswell as the club it self.

Here we go

Today is the start of Glossop North End's season and this is where it gets serious.
Today we welcome Squires Gate to Surey Street in our opening game of the new league campaign.
Looking forward to the game and hope to see a big crowd who will hopefully seee GNE get off to a winning start.
Teams visiting us this season will be in for a shock with our new facilities which i personally think look fantastic,.
The new clubhouse is a place fit to grace any ground at our level and the new pie emporium is a wonder to behold.Thank you and good luck to all the people who dedicate a lot of time to make sure us mere mortals have the best time possible while visiting Surrey Street.
Its a difficult start in our opening fixtures but what would we give for a good start.
Come on GNE.
