Saturday 1st October
As the 1st team do not have a game this coming Saturday why not get down to Surrey Street and support the Reserves who will be playing Wigan Robin Park (kick off 3pm as usual). I am sure Trucca and the lads will appreciate your support. It's free to get in too and hopefully the bar will be open!!

Meet the manager update
Just an update from the meet the manger session in the clubhouse tonight (Monday).
The session was in my opinion a big positive for us the supporters and i think the management would say it was a positive for them also.
It was great to see Trucca and Gareth at the session and good to hear from both the first and reserve managemant teams.
Also it was good to see some of the directors and our chairman who it must be said had a few questions of his own.
I wont go into detail about what was said because Mark Allen (S/C secretary) will be doing a news letter and that will contain items from tonight.
I think the main thing is everyone has a passion to take the club forward both on and off the pitch and they are all working hard to try and achieve that.
We have made a good start to our season and one thing Paul Williams stressed is we need to get consistency and he thinks tomorrow nights game is an ideal opportunity first to get back to back wins which it is hoped would bring more consistency.
Again i would like to thank both the management teams, directors and our chairman for giving us the opportunity and the supporters who came and hopefully thoroughly enjoyed the meeting

Away at Colne F.C
GNE and the travelling army will be visiting the XLCR stadium today to face Colne who have made almost exactly the same start as GNE.
Colne sit in 8th place in the league with 15 points from 9 games.
Hopefully after no mid week game GNE are refreshed and any niggling injuriess have cleared.
Good luck to the lads.
If your not travelling to see the first team and need your regular fix of football our reserves are at home today whereTrucca's charges will be entertaining Daisy Hill reserves and looking to gain a positive result.
If you needed anymore encouragement to go and watch the reserves it is free entry and they have there own band of magnificent volunteers who will be more than happy to keep you fed and watered while you enjoy your football so give it a go and cheer the lads on.
Good luck to Trucca and the team.

Meet the manager
Our new manager Paul Colgan and his assistant Paul Williams have very kindly volunteered themselves to attend a questions and answer session with the supporters of Glossop North End.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is a supporter (not just members) to come along and spend time and get to know Paul Colgan and his assistant Paul Williams.
This idea is designed to give you the supporter a chance to ask the men in charge of our team anything you like and to give the coaching staff the chance to get a feel for what we think, what our aspirations are and how we feel things are progressing.
I think this is an excellent gesture from our manager and his asistant to offer to come in their spare time to attend this session and give us the chance to meet them in person and to allow us the chance to get the answers to any questions we have, so lets not waste it.
Being a member of the ground staff i know they are both very pleasant and approachable and are willing to speak to anyone after the games, this is a great opportunity for all concerned and i strongly recommend everyone able to attend to come down.
This meeting will take place in our clubhouse on Monday 19th September starting at 19.00.
May i take this opportunity to thank Paul Colgan and Paul Williams on behalf of everyone who turns up for giving us their time.

GNE V Runcorn Town
GNE welcome Runcorn Town and everyone who travels with them to Surrey Street today.
Runcorn have made a steady start to the season and sit mid table and GNE will have to be on form to overcome our visitors.
GNE will go into the game on the back of a good win in the week against Congleton who played better than their league position suggested.
GNE have mage a good start to their campaign and will hopefully turn Surrey Street into a fortress.
Good luck today to GNE and hope to see another good turn out.
