Bad day at the office
Saturday's F.A Vase game turned out to be a bad day at the office for GNE, once again letting a 1-0 lead slip for the second week running.
GNE started the game well and were justifiably in front at half time but as the week before we didn't seem to carry on the momentum after the interval
Fair play to Runcorn who did the exact opposite, they didn't start well but came out for the second half looking like a different team.
GNE are out of every cup competition and must now concentrate only on our league campaign to hopefully close the season out finishing as high up the league as possible.
Being out of every cup is not a good feeling but we have faired better this season in the league, making the best start in recent memory which is something to be positive about. This must be viewed as an improvement and something to build on for next season.
This Saturday gives GNE the chance to gain revenge as we travel to Runcorn Town in the league.
Good luck to the lads.
