Andy Hurst will not be re-joining GNE this season. No idea whether it's true but it's doing the rounds.

Sadly it's true
ReplyDeleteHowever, Glyn Barker, ex of Trafford and Curzon (and for a short time, GNE) has signed on, and will be available subject to international clearance (he's been playing in Oz). Also signed on are Steve Brackenridge and Mike Lomax, who were at New Mills last season, and Nick Allen is back.
ReplyDeleteI've seen Steve Brack play a lot in centre/right midfield and he should fit in well.
ReplyDeleteThe Glyn Barker signing is surprising, he's been playing and scoring regularly at a higher level right up to last season so what's he doing at GNE? Not that I'm complaining.
Don't know much about Lomax but we're a bit thin on the ground at the back so he's more than welcome!
Oh, and super Sammy gets back from his travels this weekend. He and Kharas had a superb partnership under Nico, so hopefully he'll be signing on (and hasn't put on too much timber on his travels!)
