Although not yet official, we believe Matt Cooper has tonight left GNE. Matt, obviously unhappy about losing his starting place to Stuart Williams, made Manager Steve Young aware of his decision straight after the final whistle.
If this is right it doesn't say much about Matt. Stuart has sat on the bench for 6 months, waiting for his chance. Matt misses a couple of games and he's off! I'm more than happy have Stu back in goal full time and if we dan drag Ash back from Bacup, even better.
