The club have announced that Glossop's home game with Squires Gate this coming Saturday will be used as a fundraiser for the Supporters Club chosen charity, Buxton and Glossop Friends Fighting MS.
The fundraising group was formed in August 2009 following thediscovery that the Supporters Club Vice Chairman, Tim Barnett, had been diagnosed with MS. The aim of the fundraising group is to raise as much money as possible to be sent ultimately to the MS Society to help fund their work in combating this debilitating condition.
Tim has expressed his personal thanks to all at Glossop North End who have made the event possible. He said: "On the day of the match we will be doing bucket collections, selling wristbands, football cards and half time raffle tickets. In addition, the Glossop North End team will warm-up in specially commissioned MS charity t-shirts and I will have a signed commemorative orange ball to be auctioned at the match".
In addition, all monies raised from the sponsorship of the match, the ball and one off programme adverts will be handed over to the MS.
