Prior to the Formby cup match Mark Balfe asked to be released by the club and they agreed. The reason for Marks departure has not been made official (and probably won't) but rumours suggest it centred around ££££££'s. Disappointing but we move on and we await news of the 2 new players who signed after last nights game and also on the return of an ex-Surrey Street favourite!
Marks gone back to Buxton Town which I find really strange but I'm sure he'll bag a hatful in their league and be treated like a star. If that makes him happy, good luck fella.
