At last nights Supporters Club meeting the following short statement was read out;
Following a meeting between the GNE Board of Directors and the Supporters Club a group has been formed to drive the development of the clubs Surrey Street facilities.
The groups objective is to provide Surrey Street with safe, accessible facilities that meet the Football Associations National Grade D standards (Step 4).
The group is responsible for all aspects of the development - from design and planning through to funding and implementation.
The development has a completion due date of 31st March 2011.
This is excellent news. Not only is there now a process in place but there is a firm committment to have the development completed in time for next seasons ground grading.
More details will announced shortly.
It's step 3 we are going for. Currently at step 5.
ReplyDeleteConference is 1, Conf North is 2, Unibond Prem 3.
Whatever though, it's very good news
For the purpose of this stage of the development we're moving up 2 levels in the FA's grading system. We are currently at F and are aiming for D. D is the minimum requirement for clubs at step 4, which for us will be the Unibond North or South (or whatever it's called next season). As you say the Unibond Prem is step 3 but this would need a C grade, not the D we are targetting. However, the requirements of grade C will be considered at the scope definition stage.
